We traveled late Friday evening in time for the early Saturday gunstart of this year’s DBB Rockstar Solo. I opted to run the shorter distance (there’s also 50kms) as a training for the upcoming TMBT Colorcoil race that I’ll be joining this Saturday.

The surroundings of Doña Remedios Trinidad (DRT) consist of rocky and muddy slopes. It was a bittersweet trail because of its long, rolling hills and tedious uphills. Every climb was a struggle but it was fun!

There were also sections where we had to cross the river.

I finished the 25kms distance in about 4 hours and 15 minutes. I was the fourth female runner to arrive at the finish line. Luckily, the starting/finish line of the race was located inside the Caribbean Resort. We capped off the event with an awesome swimming party!

Congratulations to all finishers! Good job to MGM!
